ACPCC History

ACPCC01The American Chiropractic Physician Credentialing Center was formed as an LLC by the American Academy of Chiropractic Physicians on September 21, 2006 in the State of Colorado.

On January 23, 2007 HB 424 was introduced into the New Mexico Legislature in an effort to establish an “Advanced Chiropractic Certification Registry” and certify “Advanced Chiropractic Physicians” who would have a new prescriptive authority to ” …prescribe, administer and dispense an herbal medicine, homeopathic medicine, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, glandular product, naturally derived substance, protomorphogens, live cell products, gerovital, amino acids, dietary supplements, foods for special dietary use, bioidentical hormones, sterile water, sterile saline, sarapin or its generic, caffeine, procaine, oxygen, epinephrine and vapocoolants.”

Shortly after the passage of HB275 in 2008, the New Mexico Board of Chiropractic Examiners selected the newly formed ACPCC to be the “nationally recognized credentialing agency providing credentialing and demonstrated competency by examination” as required by the new law.
